Yseult – Corps

Have you ever watched a video in a language that you do not speak nor understand, yet the visuals and emotions transcend the lack of understanding the language and you totally “get” it? That’s what I get from Yseult’s song “Corps”. Even without the visuals from the video, her voice and phrasing just hit me, and I got emotional. It’s such a beautiful song. I did a Google search for the English translation and it’s a powerful song.

The Longchamp LePliage Transparent LGP LePliage bag arrived l! I purchased this bag from Jomashop and I love it. It’s small, but holds a lot, similar to the small Louis Vuitton bags. The price on Jomashop was really good, but this particular item is now sold out.

I’m going to use it this weekend to see how it works. I filmed an boxing video, so check it out on my YouTube channel.

Vietnamese Grilled Lemon Grass Pork (THỊT NƯỚNG)

What’s for Sunday Supper? It took us about 10 minutes to decide this morning. We opened up the latest edition of #Milkstreet and #CooksCounty and ended up deciding on the Milk Street recipe for “Vietnamese Grilled Lemon Grass Pork”.

The dish turned out OMG Delicious. I mean, you literally scream out OMG DELICIOUS!

The flavors just burst in your mouth. In fact, my mouth is watering just typing this description. We served it with the Vietnamese dipping sauce, Nước chấm , and the side dish of Pickled Carrots & Daikon (also in the magazine). We needed another veg dish, so I made the Korean dish Beansprout Namul, and served it with Thai Jasmine Rice.

For dessert, it’s just going to be those good ole American Oatmeal Crispy Cookies that I posted earlier today!

It’s a new day, It’s a new blog.

Greetings! I decided to try my hand at blogging again. While this is not a new blog, it’s more of a continuation of a sporadically written blog. Do people even blog anymore or is it instant gratifications filled with Instas, Tweets and TikToks?

Can you believe we are over halfway done with July? Where the heck has all the time gone? I mean, I know the world is a shitshow at the moment, but it still seems like time is soaring by and the next time we blink, summer will be over and we will be heading into fall. Crazy.

What’s for dinner? Tonight, it was Dungeness crab, Homemade Corn Bread, Macaroni Salad, Corn on the Cob and this Warm Lemon pudding cake for dessert. Delicious.

How are we doing on masks. I’ve found myself going overboard purchasing masks. If it’s cute? Mine. If it’s functional? Mine. If it’s unique. Mine. Sigh. Anyone else have this problem? Here I am building an arsenal of masks, and then there are people who refuse to wear a mask at all. I just don’t understand people and the extent they will go to be so selfish. Humans.

Final thought. Tonight’s #eurovisionagain re-watch was 1999 in Jerusalem. It was not a good year, in my opinion, and I really only “sort of” liked 3 songs, tops. If you don’t follow, Sweden won with “Take Me To Your Heaven” by Charlotte Nilsson (now Perrelli).
